Blackstaff

The Blackstaff of the Arcane Congress is considered the most combat-effective wizard at the college. This position is often held by the Dean of the Arcane Congress, but that's not always the case.

Grounds for Removal/Dismissal

Any wizard can challenge the Blackstaff for his position at any time, and the Blackstaff must meet the challenger in an Arcane Duel within a year and a day. If the current title-holder is defeated, the title of Blackstaff is transferred to the challenger.
