City of Rekkenmark

Rekkenmark is a large city in Karrnath standing on Scions Sound across the water from Thaliost.
The White Arch Bridge, destroyed in 899 YK at the command of Kaius I to prevent invasion from the west, has one of its ends in the city. The bridge was repaired by Aundair, but was destroyed again in 928 YK and no one had the funds after that to repair the colossal bridge again.

History

The history of the city as a military training ground dates back almost 1000 years to the oldest son of King Galifar I, Prince Karrn, who founded what eventually became Rekkenmark Academy.
Today, the city is a shadow of what it once was, having suffered not only the destruction of the bridge connecting it to the rest of the nations of Khorvaire, but multiple attacks over the course of the Last War, including the air raid of 974 YK, and the remnants of the devastation of these attacks can still be seen.
However, the military academy still produces some of the finest officers in Khorvaire, and is attended by Halix ir'Wynarn, youngest son of Boranel ir'Wynarn, king of Breland, among others.
