Severance
Once a rumor, Severance has quickly gained traction in the south of Union and in the Crescent Isles. Founded by the Rhissassi twins, mysterious Union natives currently taking refuge in Santiara, the pirate port of Al-Mara, the group has gone from a shadowy anti-Monroe group to a full-fledged rebellion against the corporation.
Structure
Severance is a chaotic organization, not particularly unified in any significant way. There are Severance cells in most major Union settlements, with the largest in Gravesend. Cells are separate from each other, and members of one cell don't know the members of other cells, with some exceptions: leaders of particular cells generally know the leaders of others, and everyone knows the twins, Ezra and Lenore.
Most cells make their own decisions, with little oversight from the twins. However, Lenore has been very clear that no harm is to come to the lowest ranking members of the organization who are simply trying to make money to survive.
Public Agenda
Severance has a simple agenda: loosen the grip of the Monroe Corporation on Union politics, and eventually eliminate them from politics entirely.
History
Not much is known about the Rhissassi twins outside of Severance leadership, and even then much of their past is secretive. It's widely known that the twins were born in Union, probably Arcadia, but the trail of their history goes cold after Lenore seemingly disappeared from the country. Ezra became a famous bounty hunter, and traveled across the continent for several years before Lenore eventually returned. Most agree that there was a catalyst that lit the fire of their hatred for the Monroe, but the twins have never spoken about it. In 12E, 474, with the help of several cell leaders, Severance was officially established.
