Castle Ravenloft

Castle Ravenloft: A marvel in engineering left behind by the previous inhabitants of Barovia that showcases how powerful they truly were. After centuries of abandonment, the castle was seized by the devil, Strahd Von Zarovich, during the founding of the valley. Built upon by a team of artisans, wizards, and workers loyal to the Von Zarovich, especially the brilliant mage Slava Cunningham who spearheaded the reconstruction of the castle. It was named after the mother of Strahd, Queen Raveonia
Since the revolt against the devil, Castle Ravenloft has been abandoned and left to fester and rot. It hangs over the valley, a looming reminder of the past and the Curse that Strahd left the people and land.
