Rudolph Van Richten

Rudolph Van Richten was born in Rivalis, Darkon, in 671 BC. He pursued a medical education at the University of Il Aluk, completing his studies in 693 BC. A humble man by nature, his life took a dark turn when his son, Erasmus van Richten, was kidnapped by the Radanavich clan and sold to Baron Metus. Erasmus was transformed into a vampire groom, forcing Van Richten to face the unimaginable task of ending his son's life. In retaliation, Metus murdered Rudolph's wife, Ingrid van Richten. Driven by vengeance and grief, Van Richten eventually defeated Metus and, with the assistance of Azalin, eradicated the entire Radanavich tribe.   Up until his disappearance in 750 BC, Van Richten resided in Mordentshire, where he operated an herbalist shop. During this time, he authored several of his renowned Van Richten's Guides and mentored the Weathermay-Foxgrove twins, who saw him as a beloved uncle and continued his work.
