Neesh

Neesh is - for all we know - the only Havkaat living outside of Amantia. The people of Dimond think he is Dworen Amberbrook's pet, which is a grave misconception. The shopowner and his feline tenant are more like peers. They like to discuss relics and artefacts with eachother or spend entire evenings leaned over books and scrolls.
Dworen and Neesh met on one of the former's many research appointments for the new king in Amantia, where despite a missive with royal seals, Dworen was barred from entering a private library. Neesh, as a Havkaat with the ability of near-invisibility, has overhead Dworen's difficulties and searched him out in his lodgings the next day, the searched after book already clasped in his pointy fangs. From there they struck a mutually-beneficial deal, that has turned into a unique friendship.
Neesh is in fact not like other Havkaats on Echora, at least not like most of them. He was one of the first to have been accidentally taken the journey by ship there. Neesh has not disclosed what his species is actually called or what its role has been in the south where they oiginally come from. Although, it is believed they were valued members of some sort of arcane society and possessed great knowledge in many topics.
Where other Havkaats in Amantia use their species' unique abilities and qualities to cause mischief and trouble, Neesh prefers the quiet life in The Booksmith Emporium. He keeps to himself whenever Dworen is not in or patrons are browisng the shop. However, he accompanies Dworen on all his travels for new knowledge. He is known to be quite sassy and for flaunting his intellect. This puts him often at odds with Dworen's adoptive daughter Rhéah, who has a history of unsecurity about her lack of education. Yet, before he is leaving with Dworen for his next reseach trip into the Ronneval, Neesh has been trying to make an effort with getting along with the young woman and teaching her some new skills. "Only to see that she looks over the store well and does not drive it into ruin", as he claims.
