Yune (yoon)

Appearance: Yune, considered lowest of the Nobles of Talys, bears attire to reinforce his position. He wears tattered, threadbare prisoner's garb adorned with chains. His arms, ever bound together by iron, are ingrained with the marks of steel bindings he became used to in life. His skin is similarly marked by severe bruises and marks of the whip, a bloody reminder of his previous self.   Personality: Despite his condition and treatment, Yune shrugs off his captors' amusements and remains loyal, joyous, and kind. Most of the other gods find nothing but disgust in Yune's disposition. He warmly embraces the few visitors he receives, whether they are a would-be torturer or a rare friend.   History: In life, Yune was a slave. He was forced to endure many acts of aggression in his time inside the walls of Talys. Backbreaking labor, starvation, and whippings were the least of his problems during his time there. Throughout his childhood, Yune was a quiet boy of few words who often traversed the outskirts of Bariford, much to his parents' anger. Living at one of the few border cities between Bariford and Talys, Yune was interested in the walls that separated himself from his dwarven kin. The city Yune was born to was often considered a refuge for the dwarves, a fact that led him to believe that those within the walls were no different than those outside of them. This belief, plus a nature of exploration, led Yune to frequent the border walls. One day, he was snatched up by the guardsmen of the walls in the place of a missing runaway servant. The boy was never seen outside of the walls again. He saw the cruelty that frequently brought his cellmates to their knees. He lived day-to-day, not knowing when his life would be ended. And he never once feared his captors. He kept on him a smile at all times and treated all whom he knew with compassion. Upon his death, he was immortalized by the unknown force that made the Talysian Nobles.   Relationships: Yune rarely speaks to his fellow deities as he knows their responses will be crude. Though, he is not entirely an outcast among the gods. On the rare occasion that the other gods are away, Rokkrad attempts to find time to spend with him, as he finds good company in Yune.   Religious Code:
  • Treat all creation as equal, regardless of public opinion.
  • There is a spark of compassion in all peoples. Find it.
  • Do not let the chains that bind you today let you forget what is ahead.
  • Speak in kindness and serve those around you.
  • Do not refuse kindness, even if it is guised anger.
Worshippers: Yune does not have much of a foothold among the dwarves of Talys, as they mostly despise his attitude towards them and treat him as lower than themselves. However, slaves and non-dwarves living in Talys often worship him and find his oppression empathetically. Yune is also the most worshipped god outside of the walls of Talys, finding many clergymen of his name all throughout Ecil.   Boon: Lv. 1: Bond of Servitude, lesser: Yune looks down at you with respect, faithful servant. He hopes to give you the beginning of his powers.   PASSIVE: A successful aid another action instead yields a +3 bonus to the given check.   ACTIVE: Once per day, as a standard action, you may select an intelligent creature within 30ft. As long as both you and your target remain within 30ft, both you and your target receive a +2 boon bonus to saving throws.   Boon Lv. 2: Bond of Servitude, greater: Yune trusts in his promising acolyte, giving you a greater share of his power.   PASSIVE: Same as Lv.1.   ACTIVE: Instead give you and your target a +4 to their saving throws.   Boon Lv. 3: Servant's Grace: Yune has sensed great conviction in you. The effect's duration is halved for each of you.   Additionally, if an ally within 20ft would be the target of a debuff, you may take it instead as an immediate action.
