Elves

Highly adaptable; they don't evolve the same way as other species, because their natural magic helps them adapt to their environment within their own lifespan.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Elves are tall humanoids with long, pointed ears and a tail like a lion's, with a tuft at the end.

Growth Rate & Stages

Although elves reach physical maturity at about 20, the elven understanding of adulthood goes beyond physical growth to encompass worldly experience. An elf typically claims adulthood and an adult name around the age of 100 and can live to be 750 years old.

Ecology and Habitats

Elves historically hail from the pole, but have spread far and wide into a number of other places. Due to their remarkable adaptability, they can live almost anywhere.

Additional Information

Average Intelligence

As one of the longest lived sapient species, elves really should be wise, well-lived, maybe even practical. This is not the case. While they have lots of time for book-learning, elven schools and parents don't make an effort to teach what many would consider common sense. The assumption is they'll live long enough to figure it out, and if they don't, then it obviously wasn't worth knowing. So elves know a whole lot, but tend to die doing stupid crap anyway.
