Lake Mitte
Lake Mitte is a small lake nearby Harnaufen that feeds into the Ganzfried River, providing much of the regions fresh water.
Geography
Mitte has relatively flat features around its shoreline, with only a shallow rise around its edge breaking up the terrain.
Ecosystem Cycles
The lake has a relatively seasonal existence, retracting during the dryer periods of the year (Nightal through to and swelling to a greater size during the rainy season. One notable aspect is the transformation of the local area into a small marshland during the months of Flamerule through to the middle of Eleint. During which time it has been said potentially dangerous creatures; such as catoblepas, depart the northern swamps and migrate to the area. In addition, many other beasts then feast on the insects hatching amongst the lake and breed in the region.
