The descendant of a warlord who took Balmastaq from its previous warlord ruler, Maadai Ahmad is the ruler of Balmastaq and the region in which it acts the capital of. Ahmad was placed in the position as a nominative ruler after his father, Iyaad, abdicated the position upon losing a leg in battle in 1475 DC.
