President Nathaniel Alexander Barbenfoullis (a.k.a. Flightmaster)
The appointed leader of Laputa and it's conglomerate of scientific minds. His status and position are due to the fact that he is the one responsible for inventing the current Aerocity Engine, which uses Mechanical Energy instead of Arcane Energy to keep the city afloat and running, making it 100% unreliant on Magic and it's possible shortcomings using a combination of Solar and Wind plants all throughout the floating cities, as their unique position above the clouds lends itself to a large yield of energy.

General Physical Condition
Nathanial has the typical feathered frame of an Aarakocra, although he is thinner than other types, as he spends most of his time in his laboratories rather than doing any physical activities.

Personal history
Nathanial Barbenfoullis was born to Jasmine and Theodore Barbenfoullis, two renowned scientists of Aerodynamics and Electricity in their own rights, who trained and raised Nathanial to be the same. However, both of them tragically lost their lives in a Mana overcharge brought on by a random fluctuation in Leylines, inspiring Nathanial to seek and advance non-magical technology for the future.
For his early life, the rest is rather unknown. He learned, apprenticed, and made some slight inventions here and there, mostly personal flight control devices, something not necessarily needed among the Avian population of Laputa's cities of science, but when he officially published and created his model for a non-magical engine for the floating cities, he was thrust into the spotlight front and center, as he had to endure years of belittlement, questioning, and even attempts on his life.
Nonetheless, when his engine prototypes succeeded, and then proved to work long-term with the floating city of Cirro, the remaining floating cities were fitted with the new technology, and when the former President stepped down, Barbenfoullis was the shoe-in candidate for the position.
Sexuality
Nathanial is vocal about being a gay man, but also says that he barely has time for platonic relationships, much less romantic or sexual.
Education
Nathanial has been able to not only get an exceptional standard education, but also learned a large amount of advanced studies during his time prior to being President, but still says that he continues to learn each and every day.
Mental Trauma
While he's not one to admit it, the death of his parents at an arcane malfunction has clearly affected him, to the point where his anti-magic ideals on technology border on manic obsession.
Intellectual Characteristics
Barbenfoullis tends to think out loud, with conversations on technology turning into lectures or rants often, but does his best to approach people neutrally. Although, he can tend to be too focused on technicalities, and be a bit more smug than others would desire.
Morality & Philosophy
Nathanial believes that it's one's ultimate right to have a chance to live their life, and that no one should take that away or manipulate it. He isn't as devoutly focused on The Great Blue like others of his country, be he still believes in the essential drive of progress and discovery.
