Gotland

Demography and Population

Being a central nation on the continent of Auhrun, Eastern Kingdoms with quick access to the sea Gotland is a diverse and prosperous country. With a population of over two million, 40% of that being human (the largest demographic). the next largest group would be dwarves as Gotland has seen strong ties to Thrun Danelduhr for eons.   Gotland averages around 70 people per square mile, around 250,000 of which live in major cities or town. Gotland has 5 major cities within its borders, The largest of which is the capitol Freehold. There are also 20 major towns throughout the kingdom.

Religion

Religion is diverse and unregulated in Gotland. As is true across Edica most citizens revere and and worship numerous Icon's and Folk Spirits.   The Official State Religion follows the examples and legend of The Church of Her Lady, Paralune. A lawful good theology that preaches charity, kindness, and wisdom.

Foreign Relations

The Maglu Coalition and the Tenger Tribelands are sworn enemies of Gotland, and have been for nearly a century. Invasions by the Maglu Coalition and the terrible fall of West Reach forced Raghnall Vaiken, King of Gotland to abandon cotrol of their western territories, creating the current No Man's Land.   Gotland shares a strong alliance with Thrun Danelduhr, and has for many centuries. They help guard each-others borders and do ample trade. Gotland has friendly dealing with Forcoa on occasion, but trade and travel though the Southerlands makes makes major dealing unreliable.   Odecca trades with Gotland frequently, but they do so with everyone. Rumors say they even trade weapons and slaves to the Maglu Coalition. Kingdom of Agridor is traditionally disdainful of political associations, and only do sparse trade or negotiations with Gotland. The Southerlands have a complicated history with many friends and foes
