The Corruption

Description

Several millennia ago, aether was sundered in an attempt to stem the spread of a corruption that was turning creatures into monsters. The corruption took the physical form of several monstrosities that are now imprisoned by Venat's pocket dimension.
However, lately, there have been signs of that corruption returning and Venat has requested that the council of Andrios (who seem to not be affected by the corruption like others) solve the ancient mystery of the corruption's origin so it can be stopped once and for all.

Progress

• Kira came searching for "champions" and Venat believes the council may be who she was searching for. She may have more clues regarding the corruption and why the council isn't affected.
• Venat informed the council that they could commune with the gods if they went to their first temple. Nylea, Goddess of the Hunt's temple is somewhere in The Nessian Woods and Karametra, Goddess of Harvests's temple is somewhere in Meletis.
• Melanthos was weakened and Kira said he was cut off from Venat's pattern. Kira weaved Melanthos' aether with the council's giving him resistance to the corruption and allowing him to see the corrupted creatures.
• Gaius shared that he believed Venat might be corrupted, that the seal on Venat's prison is leaking corruption into the world which is impacting the mortals and fears it'll soon impact the gods. To prevent this, and the inevitable end of the world, he planned to unlock Venat's domain, releasing the physical form of the monstrosities on Ediania and forcing the gods to respond and battle the monsters.
• The Empress of Setessa believes that Gaius's plan will lead to mass destruction and the death of millions. The council will try to contact Nylea at her Place of Ascension.
