The Original Lenmarede
The Original Lenmarede, the first copy which compiled all the tales of creation and of the lawful gods into one book. It was originally compiled by an unnamed follower of Lenmare in the late Age of Legends who wished to have all the tales of his great God recorded. Over 200 years the human gathered the tales and painstakingly transcribed them in every language he knew (Common, Halfling, Aarakocran, and Lower Divine). When it was finally finished he bound the book, 4 times as thick as the modern versions, with fine leather and gold. He took the book to Misuto Lake and called to the heavens, "Lenmare, if I have done you good let this book float undamaged to it's rightful owner, and let it be spread for I have put the tales of your greatness in writing. If have done you bad let the book sink, and I will cast myself off a cliff as act of repent, if I can be forgiven for shaming you!" He placed the book in the water and it began to float away, undamaged. He rowed himself to mount Kazemoou and ascended, supposedly reaching the divine realm, though none know for sure. A few days later a child fished it out of the lake and it passed hands several times. It survived the Age of Chaos and found itself in the open air again. Throughout history it has passed from great leader to commoner to great leader again, and when the Edo Empire was established it found a more permanent home in the throne room of the Emperor. As of 4 years ago it has been in the hands of Shogun Denzurou Matahachi, and it is rumoured that he is the next chosen owner of the book, and thus ruler of the kingdom.
