The building itself is a two-story timber structure with a thatched roof, and the interior is decorated with rough-hewn wooden furniture, tapestries, and hunting trophies both from Mark's past as well as those collected by locals of Alnerwick. The tavern, whilst owned by Mark, is now run mostly by Cleo Ross, who is known for her great hospitality and extensive knowledge of local lore and rumours. The menu at the Last Stag Inn has been tailored by Cleo, whilst consisting of traditional fare such as roasted game, hearty stews, and fresh bread, these are all of supreme quality. Paired with a selection of wines, spirits, and locally brewed ales the selection at the Last Stag Inn is lauded as the best in the region.
