The Dark Convocation

The Dark Convocation is a secretive and feared group that encompasses the faithful of A'Goria, the goddess of Death and Destruction. Their worship is shrouded in darkness and secrecy, and their rituals are whispered about in hushed tones. The members of the Dark Convocation believe that through A'Goria's power, they can gain eternal power and grant their every wish. Little do they know that in the end, A'Goria claims back every gift she bestows.

The hierarchy of the Dark Convocation is one shrouded in mystery, as to reveal yourself is to incite those beneath to move against you to take what you have as their own. Only the Dark Master, leader of the Dark Convocation, ever truly reveals themselves as a leader amongst the faithful. With the dark powers granted by A'Goria, none dare challenge their rule. through the Dark Master, the faithful of A'Goria are granted many powers, particularly over the domains of death and destruction, however they must perform gruesome acts of devotion to be able to keep there favour in the eyes of the goddess, lest she retake that which she gave.

Many fear and revile the members of the Dark Convocation, believing that they are agents of chaos and destruction. However, there are some who are drawn to their power and seek to learn from them, hoping to gain the ability to wield death and destruction as tools for their own purposes.

Culture

The Dark Convocation is a very shadowed and decentralized religion, with no greater controlling hierarchy, due to the constant power grabs taken by all members of the hierarchy. With position in the hierarchy usually dictated by how many people an individual has following them. The exception to this is the Dark Master, for they are the one truly blessed by the dark mistress and granted her darkest and most devastating gifts.

Tenets of Faith

The tenets of the Dark Convocation reflect those of A'Goria herself, though they tend to look more inward than those of the goddess, focusing more on what the individual gains from the goddess and less on what they give in return. Often finding too late what the true price for that which they have been given is and wholly unable to pay the great cost for that which they have received. These failures become cautionary tales for the general folk, but for those faithful to the goddes of destruction, it is seen as nothing more but pruning a dead branch from the tree of the faithful.
