Booker Whisperbringer
Booker Whisperbringer (a.k.a. Braun Shultz)
Booker thinks himself wizard above all. However, where he might lack in the mystic arts he makes up for in lies, trickery and kleptomania. The only people he has been close to considering friends didn't even find out his true name. They simply knew the lie.

Personal history
As Booker held the orb, the voice came to his mind, "They are only holding you back, they are in the way. They want your power for themselves.”
Booker knew they just wanted the dwarf. But figured this entity’s sight in this world may be limited right now. He responded “They want nothing, Your Grace, let me speak to them. They don't realize what they are doing”
Unable to give voice to his request, Booker watched the spirit fight his companions. Remy managed to get a message to him psionically inquiring as to what Braun was thinking.
Booker pleaded “please trust me”, knowing this was finally what Booker had been looking for, but was careful not to give Remy that detail.
His companions had listened and began to leave, except that stubborn dwarf. As the Spirit continued to attack Flint, Booker called out to the One that Sleeps, “there is no need to kill him, he is stubborn but will understand he cannot stay.”
The One Who sleeps responded back, "He will not leave, and must be destroyed. It is his choice. "
Booker stated plainly, “The dwarf is just a simpleton, why must he be destroyed?”
"He is standing in the way of your victory"
My victory? At the cost of this dwarves life? Flint was stubborn and seemingly didn’t trust Booker. Even so, am I willing to have him die just to get the power promised to me?
Booker inquires, “What am I to you?”
"You are the harbinger! We will awaken the One Who Sleeps together. You and I”
Wait… we will awaken the One who Sleeps? This thing isn’t the being promised to give him power?
Booker, “You aren't the one that sleeps?”
But silence is all the response he hears
Booker tries to call out to his companions again but can’t get the words out.
The voice returns, "Let them go, they will only hold us back"
Booker’s mind raced… holding us back… or holding this thing back?
The voice repeats "Let them go, they will only hold us back"
Another lie told to him...
He just wanted the respect he deserved. Just wanted to be accepted. But this God or Other or whatever is just another person using him. Just like his father, just like the thief lords. All for their gain.
Not again, he’s not going to be used again. This had to end quickly, time isn't in his favor.
He was the focus point. He had to be removed from the orb.
Booker laments to himself, "This ritual must be stopped, even if it costs me. I hope these guys understand what I'm asking, I hope they know I did the right thing in the end."
Reaching down to gather himself, pulling his mind free of the ritual. It took all every last ounce he had for what was likely his final act.
Booker let out a scream, "XABYS!!! HE LIED!! DESTROY ME BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE!!"
Booker saw the green flame coming toward him, Xabzy didn’t disappoint that’s for sure.
Memories flooded back that these people actually brought me into their group. Their weird stone licking ritual. Even appreciating my skills. God's be damned, are these the first real friends I've had?
Booker whispers, "Sorry my friends"...
