Frost Hulk

"I once saw a male Frost Hulk flatten a smaller one with an uprooted tree to impress a mate. The smaller one righted himself and walked away with air of inconvinience, ignoring the matter entirely. Seems like we could learn something about courtship."
Taryn Wanderfoot
Frost Hulks are large beasts that roam the Frozen Desolation.  They can be unpredictable animals they have been known to slaughter entire hunting parties with no prior agitation and equally often wander through the middle of a camp and ignore it entirely.    Due to the burrowing nature of the Frost Hulk Mating cycle more than one Tern settlement has been set upon by a Frost Hulk defending its nest and young. This has become an issue on more than one occasion since a mated pair of Frost Hulks are more than most smaller settlements can deal with. In recent years after the death of Clan Father Dinain Carrar, who was surprised by a Frost Hulk in a tunnel collapse, the Tern have created Hulk Slayers to help with this issue.
