Information regarding the use and effects of Serenity is hard to come by. Reports indicated that users believe they can see the arcane building blocks of the world around them. If the user is gifted in the arcane arts, they can allegedly manipulate the arcane constructs as well as use this gained energy and understanding to use magic well beyond their knowledge or capability. Purveyors of the drug claim it "opens your eyes to the magic." Side effects of the drug are still being determined. It seems to be particularly sought out by young mages who desire arcane prowess beyond their skill. Rumor has it that prolonged or extreme use may effect the a users's physical features, notably blue eyes with a blue glow.

History & Usage

History

Serenity is a relatively new drug and one of the few whose origins are not known. Its first documented occurrence is in Atonver after some sort of altercation near the docks and a young mage's, nearly burn the docks down with a fire spell. A blue powder was found on the body of the young mage. After some study, it was determined that this substance caused unpredictable results when consumed and was outlawed.
