Taryn Wanderfoot

Honored Wanderer (a.k.a. Silas HumbleGrove)

"To have a quote about yourself really says something."
Taryn Wanderfoot

Youth

Taryn Wanderfoot, has been called many things in his many years but wanderer is probably the most accurate. Born in Tern in the Village of Elellon Taryn grew up performing in the various taverns when he was old enough to use a lute. When he was a little older he followed a group of adventurers into the Blainhurst Peaks in search of hidden treasure. The treasure was the hoard of a Silver Dragon and Taryn's wit and social skills were the only thing that kept the adventures from being eaten, or so he says.

The Explorer

Since the days of stumbling into Dragons, he found that the life of the explorer suited him quite well. He would travel from town to town telling tales and selling his services as an explorer and cartographer. To wander and gather the Lore of Dane and Eglorix was all he cared for. His additional gift was finding individuals to finance his expeditions. He was able to navigate the difficult landscape of the wealthy and nobles. He would often have them pitted against each other enough to have them fighting over who could put their name on the expedition and claim first rights to Taryn's tales and hopefully some lucrative secrets.  Taryn was satisfied enough to travel, in style, and write his tomes for each expedition. You can find his Tomes of observations, maps, and expeditions in the various libraries around the conclave.

Social

Religious Views

Believes strongly in the Gods and offers prayers when he finds himself near the appropriate temple. "You always want them on your side" he often says. He worships Ithjharn, God of the Halflings as a good Halfling should.

Social Aptitude

An excellent storyteller and minstrel he is regularly invited to the balls and banquets of the nobility and is known to appear without an invite. His ability to navigate a conversation will often leave even the skilled wondering why they mentioned this or that but still having enjoyed the conversation.
