The Divine Summit
In the southwestern reaches of Tern, a monastic order can be found living in the Three Peaks. Legend has it that the three peaks are a representation from the divine of the three moons or three brothers. When the three moons are full and the sky is clear the brothers appear somewhere inside the peaks to reunite.
The Divine Summit's origins go back far enough that they are difficult to separate from myth. It is said that it predates the Divine Accords. The Summit alleged that the Three Peaks is a sacred land even for the Gods and was spared the turmoil that led to the accords. Members of all the sentient races fled to the safety of the mountain and eventually an Ogre known as Stone stepped forward to lead the refugees. Stone seemed to have lived on those mountains for years showing the people exactly where to find shelter and what on the mountain was safe to eat. He was the first to show the people the meeting of the Brothers.
The Summit claims he sat with them all night, discussing all manner of things, and when he returned he gave the refugees the wisdom he had gained and the order was founded. Travelers, the troubled or the lost occasionally make their way to mountain and seek out the small order of monks. Some seek the wisdom of Stone, others wish to consult the Brothers on some matter, and some join and stay. To those who can find it, The Order teaches simple truths and wisdom but in a way that changes one's view of the world. Those that have been taught and depart do not share the wisdom of Stone, as it is not their place. Regardless no one that learns from them returns to an ordinary life. The kingdoms and empires that saw success and prosperity all across the history of Dane will find the Order somewhere in the journals of their leaders.
Few outside the Order can corroborate the legends. They still closely monitor the moons and the weather, when the conditions are right they gather at the meeting place to visit with the Brothers and seek their wisdom. It is said that the first emperor of the Zevalon Dynasty consulted with the Brothers and the Order before he founded the Empire. It is the only mention in history of someone outside the order experiencing the divine meeting.
