The Five Barrels

The Five Barrels is a seafaring vessel of Fallion construction.

History

Originally built to to navigate the safer waters inside the Fallion Archipelago. When the seas calmed at the end of the 3rd epoch, it was retrofitted for longer sea travel. The ship was named the Tongham and spent many years making trading voyages from Leoboro Pier in Fallion Archipelago and Rika, @aton, and Kensey in Dane. Primarily moving tropical fruits and spices to Dane and lumber and steel back to Fallion.

New Owners

The Tongham appeared abandoned in the Docks of Comney in 1437 and went up for sale. Five brothers from the Barrelchin Family combined their funds and purchased it. They wanted to try their hands at sailing and to get out from under the oppressive hand of their father. The brothers took a one-way shipping contract to move barrels to Port Altair, hired a crew, and departed to make their fortune. Surprisingly and with good weather they managed to make it to Port Altair, but the ship was damaged by rocks upon entering the bay. With a mostly successful journey, they christened the ship The Five Barrels.

A Past

While in the dwarven drydock to repair the damages a horrible secret was discovered. The former crew had not abandoned the ship and were instead found in a hidden room at the bow of the ship. With the help of some Marshals, the brothers were cleared of any suspicion and wrongdoing involving the discovery.

Returning to Sea

Once it was seaworthy again, The Five Barrels was commandeered by the same Marshals to take them back to Comney on diplomatic business. With a new crew, a new investor, a destination, and passengers, they departed from Port Altair. This journey was not as lucky as their first. They encountered multiple strange sea phenomena, strange cargo found on abandoned boats, and were drug off course and kidnapped by an Outsider and his cult. With the aid of the experienced Marshals aboard, The Five Barrels returned to Comney.
