Government

Officially, Fréllon is run by a five person council who advises a mayor. Unofficially, The Onyx Skull runs the town form behind the scenes.

Defences

Fréllon has a small force of town watch, mercenaries, and trained citizen militia. Due to its distance from the capital, its position as a port town and that it has been known as an epicenter for criminal activity, Les Soldats Serpentins maintains a cell within the town.

Industry & Trade

Fréllon is known for its fishing and farming, mining has recently returned to the town. It exports fish and any surplus grains, while importing farming tools.

Assets

Most basic goods and facilities can be found within the city, while rarer commodities are scarce. Inns and taverns are limited compared to other coastal cities.

Guilds and Factions

The mining guild is attempting to regain a foothold in Fréllon, these advances are being resisted by the The Onyx Skull, a criminal syndicate.

History

In February 89 P.C. Fréllon was devastated by le Blizzard Interminable (The Endless Blizzard). For 3 days it snowed over 30 feet, covering most of the town with snow. The blizzard resulted in trade routes being shut down for weeks and the loss of food. Once spring arrived the melting snow caused flooding ruining the limited farmland. Of the 1,800 souls that called Fréllon home all but 98 died by the end of the year.

Fréllon struggled to survive. Those who stayed did so mostly because they could not afford to move. Criminal syndicates moved into the town and began to take it over. In a few years, The Onyx Skull had power and now ran the town. The Onyx Skull helped finance the rebuilding of the town but kept it from growing too fast.

Today, the town is a generation away from being as populated as it was before the blizzard, and the currents that control the town and its economy are about to collide.

Geography

Fréllon sits in the valley of a mountain range on the Ardent Golf. The terrain is still very rocky and there is limited fertile farmland.
