Srijihl Expanse
Day 25
I am no longer unnerved by the sound of my boots crushing the ground beneath us. I have never seen such a white landscape. Every step you take sounds like you are crushing glass under your boots, the horses don't care for the noise and we are having to walk and lead them for fear of hurting their hooves. Whichever of the Eidolons choose to do this, I pray is watching over us and feeling pity for our expedition.
The Expanse is not for the faint of heart, it a harsh strip around the southernmost point of Eiria. For nearly six thousand years this land has been held hostage by a magical frozen storm. Cutting off the Vlard Highlands and the rest of the Varzik Mountain range. From the constant sound of crushing glass to the flat blanket of white covering the ground, it is considered bleak even by those use to permafrost living.
Geography
The Expanse is bleak and nothing but white, covered in fine ice crystals from the thousands of years of being hidden within the eternal storm. There is no life here. No flora. No fauna. Just stark white landscape. While it is mostly mountains there are a few valleys that allow passage from the Vlard Highlands into either the Khazin Mountains or the InBetween Realm.Fauna
Nothing stays here for long. The eerie quiet and the sound of breaking glass often drives more beasts away. Travelers moving through the area often lead their beasts of burden rather than riding them for fear of being tossed from them.- None

Flora
With the hard frozen ground, nothing has grown not even forage for Calliopes has sprouted. Falkovian Scholars have said they don't think even in their lifetime the ground will thaw enough to allow flora or fauna to sprout life.Natural Resources
There are thoughts of Frost Steel veins being heavy within The Expanse but very few have the courage to make it through the bitter coldness and the eerie silence. The crunching glass sound and bleak never changing landscape also tend to keep most people out of prospecting.

- Something stalks or is at least believed to stalk the cracking lands. A partly finished journal page from the lost Alfonzo Cortez's expedition was found reading, "It's been here. We can hear it moving out there. The noise of the cacking ice. It took Alfonzo last night. He is gone. We'll all be gone." No description or thoughts were ever found and there was no evidence to anything being close to their final camp just their camp left and them gone.
