Cracked Talon

Cracked Talon was a notorious tribe of barbarians that splintered from Grear's Axe to follow the zealot Trivus, who was nicknamed Cracked Talon. He claimed to have received divine direction to hunt and kill elves, claiming that they were intruders and usurpers in Ekaia and it was necessary to drive them out. In all there were eight founding members, and they quietly plotted and grew in strength for over thirty years before beginning a rampage across Thessélias, by which point their numbers had grown to exceed twenty. They were stealthy in travel and brutal in assault, killing many elves before they were at last tracked and decimated by Dominy and Enna Westerud. The survivors withdrew to recuperate, setting their sights on the Westeruds, but particularly the elvish Enna, whom they called the Far Invader, regarding her superior archery skills as evidence of her supreme alien nature. Twice they attacked, and each time fewer of them scurried away. Though each member was very strong, capable of destroying villages singlehandedly, they were never a match for the Westeruds.
About ten of them remained when they discovered the location of Enna's archery school, Pilin Thand Academy, just after the death of Dominy. An obsession that had spanned generations within the tribe came to a crescendo when they launched an attack, finding Enna in the outer grounds and killing her before moving towards the school. However, Enna had sent her children, Naeris and Illa, to warn the school beforehand, giving the archers enough time to prepare to shoot down the remaining barbarians before they could do any more harm.
