Flavian of Magwater
Flavian of Magwater was a Jeltiri cleric of Mannaret mainly active in the late EL 500s. Born Higg of Magwater to a poor farmer whose wife died in childbirth and who himself passed away eight years later, Higg grew up with very little means. He was taken in by the town's only guard, who raised him as his own. He became an acolyte of Mannaret when he was 15, and was named a priest at 21. He began adventuring less than six months later after he began displaying impressive clerical power.
He had an adventuring companion and dear friend in the half-orc outlander Engog, called Engog Vereno, and he Flavian, as the duo became better-known. He was invested in helping half-orcs to channel their energy into defensive and just combat rather than mindless violence. He soon reported receiving directive from Mannaret to build a new temple to act as a refuge for the outcast, and believed strongly that this temple should function as a haven for half-orcs in particular. He began raising money in 601 through various adventuring campaigns which earned him renown across the regions of Vumboldt and Xysaadi.
He was killed in 605 by members of the tribe Orbish Godreeg as he approached his monetary goal for the temple. His body was never recovered. Engog went on to complete his work and the Mannaretic Temple of Mount Ovana was at last founded in 608.
