Jeltir

Jeltir is the largest country in the continent of Talazic. Its capital and the seat of its king, currently King Talesan Fairfell, is Hemejdd.
Jeltir is most known for its Meydran history and religious sites. Its climate and geography are vastly varied, from chilly mountains to the north to scorching deserts to the east and dense forests to the south.

History

Jeltir was officially founded very early in the Era of Cloud but remained a small segment of land around Mejddimlad until the end of the Lillastam-Jeltiri War in EC 1801. From here it took control of a large portion of the land between Hemejdd and Lillastam. Smaller wars continued to rage between the two kingdoms for the following few centuries until peace was finally struck; Lillastam withdrew to the Realm of the Three Forests, and Jeltir began spreading slowly across the eastern half of Talazic. Lillastam as a kingdom was annexed by Thessélias in EC 4237. The name "Jeltir" comes from an Ancient Common word meaning "holy land."
