Valendar

Valendar is the second-largest forest in the kingdom of Thessélias. The southeastern portion of its area comprises its capital city, Endellion.
Most of the population of sentient creatures living in Valendar are the elves of Endellion. However, there are also a multitude of small elf encampments, as well as a population of an estimated 1200 firbolgs, living on the forest floor.

Fauna & Flora

The extremely large, white-leaved, golden-barked trees of Valendar are called meriatha trees. Meriathae flower in the spring, and their flowers are harvested and crushed by the elves to create a succulent juice.
Fruit trees also grow in Valendar, as well as a variety of types of shrubs and bushes, though the forest floor is by no means cluttered by underbrush. A wide variety of game live in the forest as well, including deer, elk, foxes, bears, rabbits, badgers, and wild boars.
