BiG Session 2: Maintenance Work
General Summary
Month 5, Week 1, Year 931
A Letter from Beleren Hazid to Shroud HQ: I attended the party at the Palace the other day, it seems that the rumors are true that the Queen is arranging a marriage between her daughter and the ruling family of Rakka. I wouldn't anticipate any changes to our relationship with either kingdom, our record hunting down cults speaks for itself. There was another worrying sign of the Handgun's deteriorating quality, one of their members was in attendance and until they were kicked out by one of the guards. As if the embarrassment didn't end there, she was later found passed out in the garbage in a compromising position with one of the palace servants! I know we've relied on the Handgun to retrieve cursed magic items over the years but I'd encourage finding other black market operators if the Handgun continues to exhibit such unprofessional behavior. I'll spare you a list of all the people in attendance, it's the usual batch of nobility and guild leaders that have been showing up to these events for years. It was a joyful mood to celebrate the return of the Queen's daughter from Eldermere University, and good news about the war with the Lead Kings certainly raised people's spirits. There was a brief power outage that I worried may have been signs of something sinister, but some member of the maintenance crew must have quickly resolved the matter because the lights were back to normal shortly after. I've identified a couple members of the Clown Kings to interrogate, I've attached copies of their case files for review. I recommend sending out a couple agents in the next month or two, I'll oversee the operation but I recommend a degree of caution given the unpredictability of the lower levels.
