BiG Session 5: A Funny Surprise

A letter from Beleren Hazid to Shroud HQ:
Fortune's been on our side in our mission against the Clown Kings, a new upstart gang of thieves has already done the hard work while all we have to do is clean up the leftovers. The Clown Kings as we know them are no more, despite a couple of escappees a majority are now dead or headed towards Kanara for enchanced interrogation. We'll finally learn more about this interplanar entity they serve, I've heard rumors of demonic activity but their methods seem distinct from anything we've seen these last few decades. But this gang of thieves, known in the lower levels as Blood, Bath, & Beyond, appears to be focused on the magic item trade with goals of one day being a major player in the city and beyond. This obviously makes them a major threat to the Handgun's monopoly of the trade, but they have gone after other gangs like the Clown Kings with ruthless efficiency if they prove to be an obstacle to their ambitious goals. I know we had an open file on Mr. Dunvil in regards to the origins of his sorcerous powers, but I advise closing that case and staying out of this group's way. It's become clear through their actions that they're not interested in the interplanar, much like the Handgun their focus is solely on profit and eldritch terrors are bad for business. I recommend letting the market take its course, if this group succeeds in its ambitions we should perhaps consider patronizing their bathouses they've started to construct for such transactions. In the meantime I'll observe how the Clown Kings' dissolution affects Gameria's underworld, already there's a gang of theater misfits from the 2nd Level settling into the Clowns' old turf. There's been little progress in Gameth's war against the Lead Kings, so I've noticed an uptick in security in the lower levels to better regulate the ports and harbors. I will keep you updated on any occult developments, unfortunately still by letter since this cough persists and Kacie has banished every cigar from our home.
