HB Session 13: Checking in on the Neighbors
General Summary
Month 6, Week 2, Year 924
Still enjoying their time on land in the city of Noggin, the night finally arrived for Sarek to retrieve what was stolen from him. A luxury yacht sailed into Noggin's harbor in the middle of the night, holding two members of the Vivaldi Family and Sarek's stolen Bloodwell Vial. The two Vivaldis, a young man and a middle-aged woman, left the yacht with a handful of guards and headed uphill towards Noggin's downtown. The Holy Boaters saw this as the perfect opportunity to easily sneak on board the ship and rob the Vivaldis blind. The party dispatched with every guard in a matter of seconds, storing them all in a walk-in closet while they waited for the guests of honor to return. Only the young man returned to the yacht (the woman was nowhere in sight), and by disguising himself as one of the guards Sarek was quickly able to apprehend him. With the Bloodwell Vial safely in his hands and the Vivaldi entourage all stored snugly below deck, the Boaters set sail for Nekutalin once more. Month 7, Week 1, Year 924
The party decided to spend about a month in town to enjoy the riches collected from their most recent jaunt through the Karaga Sea. Noodles introduced Clover and Shazir to his blacksmithing contact Dranatha, who appeared reluctant to help such a large group of people craft magic items unless they agreed to assist her with some small tasks. The Holy Boaters' reputation had drawn the attention of some influential locals like Seraphina Altera, so Sarek set up a meeting with her as representative of the Boaters. She talked about how the kingdom of New Tolball needed all the help it could gathering allies to fend off Sardivelia's Avventuri, but when Sarek relayed this job opportunity Shazir and Muireann were both opposed to any notion of becoming glorified members of Tolball's navy. The voyage back to Nekutalin gave the party plenty of time to discuss things (like Muireann's feelings for Shazir), but it soon became clear that the party was in total agreement on their next mission: helping Argus retrieve a helmet to complete his set of Dragon God-King armor.
