Iolanta Zhukova

The Empress

A female tiefling and archmage dating back to the early era of conquest in Old Myltev's history. Prof. Klute speculates in his book Mage the Awakening that Zhukova ruled for several centuries, using powerful enchantment rituals to bend entire nations to her will. 
History is unclear on how her reign ended, but in the year 935 of the 4th Cycle a band of outlaws uncovered her tomb in the Imperial Marshes of the Treeleaf Union, confronting an undead version of the archmage. Zhukova was quickly shot to death and her lifeforce consumed by the one of the outlaws, ending a brief return to power.

Zhukova's Scepter of the Empress is a powerful relic, capable of enchanting over two dozen people for over an hour. The scepter is roughly two feet long, covered in gold, and decked out in a variety of gems and diamonds that glow whenever the enchantment is performed. The Scepter is currently wielded by the outlaw Radahn Dengar.
