Korda Aribond

Matriarch

A female dark elf and former matriarch of House Aribond. A powerful wizard capable of seeing centuries into the future, her obsession with averting catastrophe led to her downfall as she failed to focus on the near-term threats of rival houses in The Verschow. She was assassinated in the summer of 881 by Ereldra Baudissin, leading to House Baudissin's consolidation of power among the dark elf houses.
Korda is best known as the author of the Book of Things to Come, a tome full of prophecies stretching forward into the middle of the 4th Cycle (i.e. the 1500's). Her children have become allied with the necromancers of House Hainaut, her son Wilhelm even marrying the family's matriarch Marwen.
