Lachesis Hainaut
A dark elf woman and member of House Hainaut in the Verschow. A talented spellcaster, she quickly found a way to blend her mother's necromancy with her father's close-range fighting style. When Matriarch Marwen Hainaut disappeared from the Verschow several decades ago, Lachesis took on many of the responsibilities for keeping the Hainaut family in order and acted as a guardian to Marwen's son Allexander. Notably, she did not take on the title of house Matriarch.
In the year 901 she joined the Dark Souls adventuring group to locate her long-lost sister and stop the devil Naberius from plunging the Verschow into a costly civil war. Naberius tempted her with promises of power and a new family if she agreed to poision her sister, but Lachesis resisted these temptations and focused on turning the Verschow's noble houses against the corrupted matriarchy of House Baudissin. She fought valiantly at the Battle of Castle Hainaut to defeat Matriarch Sariel Baudissin and Naberius, later attending the signing of the Treaty of Rel-Kadrar that brought an end to centuries of fighting between the two kingdoms.
Despite such victories, a guilt weighed on Lachesis from Naberius' temptations and how readily she listened to them. Like her sister decades before, Lachesis went into self-imposed exile to seek peace and redemption beyond the borders of the Verschow. Rumors of a castle suddenly appearing out of the wilderness of Southern Pescat may have some merit if Lachesis is involved...
