Lyman

A port city to east of Kanara. 
Most notably, the Royal Knights Brigade met Oslo here in 875 who helped them find a boat to take to Gameria.

History

Founded by the first human settlers into the region of modern-day Avicenna, for centuries Lyman has been a vital port city for Avicenna and its regional ambitions. During the Avicennan War of the 870's it escaped some of the worst damage and fighting, but an influx of refugees nearly plunged the city into chaos until massive Sardivelian investment helped stabilize the region. 
In the 4th Cycle's tenth century Lyman still stands as a popular hub for vessels circumnavigating the continent of Liat. As airships have become a more viable form of transportation, some have speculated over the viability of Lyman as the starting point for expeditions to the far-off reaches of the Largas Ocean and the mysterious continent Rana.
