Purpose
Glacious Day is an annual event celebrated across Kureta. Occurring on the 20th Decin, this holiday celebrates the ending of the year and the winter season. The holiday was introduced in the year 1002 KCB by Queen Riza Orbeck. The queen wanted a holiday to celebrate a new era of peace, marking the passing of each year without war.

Rosie Miz operates a famous ice rink in Kureta Park
Families tend to spend the day together, enjoying a large meal either at home or at a tavern
Marketplace is closed for the day, stalls are cleared and a kitchen is installed to feed those who struggle during the year
The palace puts on a fireworks display once the sun sets, but the gardens are not open to the public
Food & Drink
Being a winter holiday, hot drinks are a common indulgence during this celebration. Temporary stalls are often set up along the streets of many towns and cities, selling hot cocoa, coffee and mulled wine.
Glacious Day often becomes a day of indulgence, where folk will enjoy their fill of roasted meats, hearty veg, and many sweet treats.
