Leander
Leander; was a legendary hunter and bowman from Okin who died roughly 800 years ago. He was the wielder of the bow known as The Arkbow, which was said to be able to pierce the darkest of night with its arrows of sunlight. Leander spent most of his days in the Okina Forest as a hunter and ranger; he would strive to protect the wildlife that dwelt there as well as the people of Okin from dangerous threats within the forest.
During an unusually cold summer, the Okina Forest fell under a powerful spell of darkness - the machinations of an evil necromancer. The magical darkness that permeated the forest began to raise the dead creatures as zombies, which the necromancer sent to destroy Okin. Although many innocent lives were lost, Leander was able to lead a group of hunters through the darkened forest, where they sought out the necromancer's lair; Leander's daylight arrows illuminating their path. A difficult battle ensued, but Leander was eventually victorious, his powerful arrows destroying the necromancer's undead minions as well as his phylactery. Through Leander's continued efforts in the forest, the archer was able to remove any lingering darkness and put the undead beasts to rest. Leander became a celebrated hero to the people of Okin, as well as the creatures of the forest.
The Arkbow was a silver bow which created magical arrows of sunlight when the string was drawn back. Unlike regular arrows, these arrows would inflict a burning radiant pain on their enemies, which was particularly effective against the undead. These arrows would also illuminate a small area around them when fired.
