Okin
Okin is a mid-sized town on the southern border of Kureta. It sits nestled in the Okina Forest, and as such enjoys the clean air and scenic surroundings that only nature can provide.
Apart from the peaceful lifestyle that can be found here, Okin is most famously known as the home of the Hunter's Guild - a collection of rangers and druids who help humankind maintain peace with the forces of nature.
Okin is home to many halflings and gnomes who, perhaps more than other races, enjoy the serenity and peace of living so close to the forest. With the presence of the Hunter's Guild, there is also a large presence of animal companions to be found in Okin, and the taverns there often have as many critters inside as people.
Okin is "ruled" by a retired Ranger who now serves as mayor. More than anything, he simply maintains the town.
Okin's main export is lumber from the forest. A sustainable system of wood-cutting has been long established, to make sure the forest is never depleted to a point that would affect the wildlife.
