Overview

Oath Assassins are a dedicated group close to the government, known for being the most skilled warriors in the land. Their laws are loosely defined, working a number of different jobs for both the government and the public. There are currently three assassination organizations across the continent, each with a single Oathstone and Arcanist.
There are roughly 2400 assassins globally, being a prestigious job. Due to this, it isn't for the faint of heart as there are swaths of welcome candidates to join the assassination organizations with skills to share. It is also a dangerous job, nearly 10 members cycling in and out every year. However, the pay isn't small and it is the job that many young children wish to achieve.

Profession

The job of the Oath Assassins is one of protection and war, acting as the army of the factions and defender of the people. Each assassination organization is connected to a single faction, making the other factions their opponents. However, their true purpose, long forgotten, is to defend against the Okkenan until the Oath Assassins are strong enough to return to the Open Expanse and slay the Okkenan.
The Oath Assassins are a complex group, each assassination organization has its own caveats and culture within the job. However, they all are based on a universal ranking system created by Lilimer Kark when the Assassins' Guild was formed. They are highly skilled, trained in a number of different fighting styles dependant upon their unique Oathseekers.

Role

Based on their training and ranking, the Oath Assassins serve their factions. Trained assassins are given jobs across Ukkan Isle. Some serve as bodyguards to rulers of the factions, some participate in the hidden wars against the other assassination organizations, and others train Oath Assassins.
Professionally, assassins are trained to always be around. Scattered around the continent, the jobs that assassins can take are of all sizes. Generally, some of them are those that uphold the law and work with the public while others prepare and complete jobs given out by the faction. Higher ranking assassins are known to be so skilled that they are rarely dispatched unless other high rankings Oath Assassins are around and attacking.
