The Myribloom Glow Fetsival is a
Gazeranfolk tradition that takes place every three years on the longest day of the summer.
The fetsival is well known for its artistic creatzion of blooming and glowing plant tapestries, epescially including the usually extinct
Myribloom.
It is one of the few Gazeran traditions that is not only allowed to be celebrated openly but also gains a lot of positive reputation outside the region of
Copperwynn.
Activities
Taka Myr'illias - The Great Bloom
One of the main activities during the festival is the friendly competition of creating tapestries of colorful plants, grown through the power of shamanistic rituals from simple seeds.
Large fields, wide curtains of plants, and even statures that last for days after the event are driven to grow tby the magical rituals performed by many
Taka Ma'rat.
It is in part a friendly competition between clans to show their shamanistic prowess but also offers ways to tell the history of their people through images blooming during the retelling of past events.
Most notably, the created plants even include the
Myribloom, the namesake of the festival, even though this plant is in fact extinct ever since the
Copperwynn Magic Drain. Only during the days of and after the festivalk this ancient plant will shine its prsimatic colors across the area and bear the highly sought after
Prismatic fruit.
Taka Ha'kanat - The Great Feast
The other central activity is the creation of a large feast made up of the best meals each clan has to offer.
The people of the clans hunt, gather and prepare traditional meals each with their own individual twists as well as some interesting potions with beneficial effects.
The creation of the meals and potions usually turns into a friendly competition between the clans, especially focussing on the best
Moss-Sirup-Glazed Skewer.
While many meals are consumed at the festival itself, they all are prepared to be long lasting, to serve as provisions in the upcoming months.
Especially potions based on the prismatic fruit are conserved as long as possible, as they are able to relieve most sicknesses especially in young children and pregnant women.
Growing renown
While the Myriblom Glow festival takes place at several distinct areas all over Copperwynn, the greatest festival at the
Hollow Gazeran Monolith near
Gunnardstetten has grown in popularity during the past decades.
Today, many outsiders from
Bealuki and
Selversheyn, even from the
Wunnewalden are travelling to visit this festival.
The Gazeranfolk are generally welcoming of these visitors and use the opportunity of selling plants, fruits, meals and potions to better reduce the bruden of their
Copperbound Contracts.
Some outsiders have tried to join the Great Feast competition, but their participation is seen with scepticism - especialyl considering their very different variations of the traditional skwers.
With the rise in popularity, some
Taka Ma'rat are slightly concerned the traditions could be changed too much to satisfy the desires of the visitors. However, they are happy to see some visitors willingly learning about their stories and legends.
