Hollow Gazeran Monolith

The Hollow Gazeran Monolith is, as the name suggests the remnants of a large landmark standing on a plaza at the outskirts of Gunnardstetten. It is said to be an ancient magical structure but today, only the holowed out shell remains. To this day, it is the centre of many Gazeran rituals, despite the opressions following the Shaman's Doomed Insurgence, such as the Myribloom Glow Festival.

Appearance

The Monolith has a square base with a sides of roughly seven meters length. The sides lean toward each other upwards for roughly 4 metres, were they form a smaller square with roughly 1 meters in length. On top of this square is a regular pyramid.   The sides are perfectly oriented with the cardinal directions. The southern side is almost completely crumbled away, however and reveals the hollow interior. The outer shell made from a dark granite like stone has a constant thickness of roughly two hands or roughly two fifth of a meter.

Legends and Myths

The monolith was said to have been filed with gold or another precious metal, but none remains today. Many symbols and pictograms adorn the outside, said to depict the rise of the First Folk and the harmony of the people at this time.   Some depictions on the southern side seem to display the events of Zecod's Fall, but they are almost all lost to time. Over the centuries, several pieces of the monolith have been found across Copperwynn, at times many miles away from Gunnardstetten. These artifacts are studied as a curiosity by several societies.   Apparently there are five additional ruins across copperwyyn that could be possibly be the broken remains of similar monoliths - at least the square base is recognizable. Interstingly enough, the supposed locations of the monoliths are roughly at the corners of a regular hexagon, supporting the theory of them belonging together.
