Stoneglow Fruit

The stoneglow Fruit is a large fruit common in the Wunnewalden. It is capable of storing enormeous amount of magic during its growth, but only of very specific types most common in the Wunnewalden.   The fruits grows on large Columnroot trees, who petrify the first time they bear fruit. Before growing out fruit, they will bloom with colorful flowers, usually attracting many large butterflies to pollenate them. The fruits always comes in bushes of 10 to 15 pieces.   The fruits have an elastic surface with some odd, sharp edges reminiscent of a small rock. When ripe, they glow in vibrant green, orange, yellow, red and blue - some of them even almost white with rainbow shimmers. Fruits of the same tree always have the same colors.   Eating the fruit raw can rejuvenate a person or temporarily strengthen them. People able to channel magic can wield more magical power. The Dragonsparrow favors Stoneglow Food as their primary food. They even have preferences on where the fruit has to grow and what color it should glow in.

Usages

Stoneglow fruit is an excellent healing catalysator for any magically gifted person. If they are able to channel magic and consume the fruit, they will heal many times faster than at their natural rate. It also effectively prevents deseases.   Due to the large amount of magic stored, Stoneglow Fruit is seen as an organic and renewable alternative to Kinegems used in industrial sized apparatus.   There was little success in setting up large-scale plantations for Stoneglow fruit, neither within WUnnewalden nor outside of it. As such, the need for trade and transport has led to the creation of the tradingpost in Vituarin.   The Wunnekinners see these Fruits as representations and vital part of the cycle of magical ebb and flow. As such, the fruit is a common occurence in stories of the Draconic Wunnewalden Druids.   During the festival of the Day of Ascension, the hopeful apprentices will go out in search for prismatic fruits to add to the Ascending Dragon Roast.

These are really neat! I don't think I've ever seen fantasy fruit quite like it!
