Vituarin

Vituarin is the site of a former large temple, supposedly dedicated to Vitukua and is still a sacred place for the Draconic Wunnewalden Druids. Vituarin is located deep within Wunnewalden but also directly at the Northern Fenoria Stream. Within the past decades the site developed into a settlement and trading post for the Gamian Group.   While already developing, the whole settlement is completely engulfed by the giant, ancient WUnnewalden Trees. Most of the day the light from the sky will have a mystical, green tint filtered through all the leaves of the trees. Most of the year, the cold air from the Selverrock Stonesto the north will causea chilly but slightly damp climate.   The crest of the city is a green shield parted per pale with silver, with a closed black dragonsparrow.

General structure

At the northern riverbank are the ruins of the old temple. It is uninhabited but visitors are allowed to enter, if they are accompanied by a druid and behave respectfully. Directly in front of the temple is a large plaza which has not been yet claimed by the forest and functions as a market. Both foreign traders and local workers will offer their trades and goods here.   The central living quarters are all almost exclusively populated by workers that have migrated here from outside the forest. Local Wunnekinners will not settle close to the temple or too close to each other. Several smaller exclaves have developed in a good distance to the temple, but well connected with paths. They are considered a part of the settlement and the local guards will come to protection against wildlife, if the need would arise.   On the southern riverbanks are the trading post and the embassies of both the Gamian Group and the Caramizian Royal Council. There are no bridges or fords leading across the already relatively wide Fenoria Stream but several ferries can bring people over. The only tavern in the settelemnt is located next to the harbor.

Politics and Relationships

The area of Wunnewalden has been declared an self-governed part of Caramiza and the representants of the council are currently trying to negotiate the amount of taxes to be payed to the government. The Druids have shown a surprisingly solid understanding of finances, despite having displayed little need for currency, which has taken the royal negotiator by surprise.

Further Details

There has been some dispute over enlarging the harbour - the Druids believe this will hinder the flow of magic in the area in a too significant amount.   A druidic eldest lives on the southern river bank and is willing to teahc people from outside the Wunnewalden the ways and magic of the Draconic Wunnewalden Druids.   A failed plantation of stoneglow fruits just outside the city displays the difficulty of growing these fruits without the understanding of the local flow of magic - and without proper protection from hungry Dragonsparrow
