Breac's Guild report - 0.6.1 agf
Scramble
Based on nothing more than a gut feeling, Breac Sunfist scrambled a response team and teleported to the Temple of the Silent Queen, accompanied by Al'Hazir, Miko Tanner and 8 Little Warriors.
All appeared quiet and normal. There were pilgrims visiting from the Helgin glacier, a haughty merchant, a high priestess of the order of the Lantern, and initiates praying at the multi-denomination altars. But slight signs were detected that something was amiss. A magical artifact had been smuggled into the guest bedrooms without the knowledge of High Priestess Mirava. The barbarians visiting from the north knew Breac by name. And some of the initiates were wearing robes not quite on color. As the artifact was brought to Breac for inspection, Jae'Kalan's plan became clear, as several strike teams led by various undead champions and a blue dragon teleported within the temple.
A pitched battle broke out both within the temple and outside. As Al'Hazir, Fillias, Lothmar and Breac broke away to deal with the other strike teams, the remaining Little Warriors fought the dragon and were eventually successful. As the dust settled, they found more undead forces had teleported to siege positions around the temple. The Temple of the Silent Queen was now surrounded, under siege - and Jae'Kalan V himself had arrived. None could stand against him. He levelled his mace against the gates...then winced, clutching his head, and desperately scrambled about outside the temple looking for something or someone.
A short time later, Miko Tanner stumbled back into the temple bearing the lower half of Jae'Kalan's right ear.
With a piece of Jae'Kalan's person in hand, Breac quickly reforged the Mindshield Helm to protect against undead, and specifically against Jae'Kalan himself. With this artifact, the High Priestess O'Mirava Vintas now holds the gates against Jae'Kalan. The undead have established wards preventing reinforcements from teleporting within the temple, so Al'Hazir gathered what non-combatents and civilians he could and teleported them, Miko, Breac and 5 of the Little Warriors to safety. 3 Little warriors remained behind to bolster the defences, while Breac rallies what aid he can to try to break the siege from the outside.
