June's Guild report - 0.2.9

Heart of Stone

By June Woodshimmer

A young girl named Athi took us to a mountain to rescue her mother but it was no ordinary cave. Nature was growing at a rapid pace, taking over the home someone had made for themselves. No, not someone. Farora, as the diaries and letters revealed. She was an Eladrin dressed in the season of Autumn, exiled from her home and had everything taken from her. But the thing she longed for the most was her sister Alexia who had gone missing a long time ago.

Alexia, Alexia, Alexia. The name haunted the caves. But that story is for another time. We were there to rescue someone, not delve into someone's family trauma.

Deeper into the cave we faced a creature of mirrors and reflections. Always shifting and changing. My teammates struggled to comprehend truth from lies, slicing the truth rather than the reflection. Fortunately we were able to put the illusion to an end and face the real problem, Farora and the dragon she had captured. AKA Athi's mother. (Athi kind of forgot to mention that she and her mother were a dragon). There was a bit of confusion, some charming spells and I'm pretty sure we were knocked out for a moment there. But Athi found her mother and Farora was eventually (well threatened) into letting the dragon go. Turns out this was all a big misunderstanding started by some human. Nithrali and Minte can tell you all about it.

But... Farora said some things that are concerning. Like Alexia. She said I looked just like her. But my name isn't Alexia. My other name is also not Alexia and my other, other name is not Alexia. What story have we stumbled into? And what tricks are the Fey going to do next?
