Rin's Guild report - 0.1.18 agf
A sinking feeling
They quickly discovered this was some sort of ancient submarine, and discovered a Captains Journal in the sleeping quarters, full of lore and secrets and clues!
The doors to the rest of the ship were locked tight, and had a glowing red warning flashing, and displays in cascading letters showing that air quality was low. and looking around, they discovered several gardens of strange flowering plants now appearing fossilized and attached to strange watering systems.
Suddenly, a mechanical creature lunged at the paladin, but the party destroyed the beast soundly!
Solving the riddle set out in the captains log, they opened a case of potions correctly gathering the combination and solving the order the potions went in the contraptions quickly and the flowers bloomed again, filling the room and the ship with fresh air again!
The rest of the level held very little so they went down to the next deck.
On the next deck, they found more clues, and quickly found two stone plates mentioned in the Journal that led to more cryptic clues about how to open the captains lockbox, but where was the box?
One of the Bards went to the ships steering wheel, and reading correctly the hints turned it in just the right ways to unlock a secret compartment and find the captains lockbox!
Inside was a special key, and this gave them access to the floors below, where they were attacked by a strange creature again, but bested it with clever strategy!
Gaining access to the engine room, it appeared to be powered by captive fire elemental, and two captive water elementals, generating steam to drive the ancient engines!
Reading the last of the puzzles in the book, they reactivated the engines quickly, and with a sudden burst of speed, the ship rushed forward and up towards the surface, breaking into hundreds of pieces and falling into the depths.
lucky for the party, the giant fish Guppy was there to rescue them, but the mystery remains, how did they get down there in the first place, and what was this ancient civilization, and what caused it to fall?
