Sairannah
Lady of Memories
Sarirannah was born in the land of Fey before the courts of Summer and Winter were established. The magic of the Feywilds gifted her with the power to see the threads of life in all things. Furthermore, she could take the threads and weave them with the powers of a song, changing them and manipulating them to her heart's content. It is said that the first sounds of her violin warped the flow of time itself and would steal the memories of mortals, luring them deeper and deeper into the beauty of the Feywilds until they no longer remembered their name.
Many centuries later, or perhaps only months later, a mortal heard the legend of a powerful Fey and sought to put an end to her illusions. The mortal played at her own game, charming Sairannah until she lowered her guard. The young mortal stole her violin in the night and weaved her own memories apart. The fractured remains only remembered the anger for mortal kind, the why and the how forgotten to her. The land she called home grew to perpetually snow reflecting her broken heart and despair. A single tree bloomed crystal white petals, always raining like the very snow around it, and with it many Fey began to call Sairannah the Lady of Tears.
Sairannah’s violin missing, Siarannah could not manipulate memories like she once could, but she was not without great power. Her fractured heart longed to be repaired and searched for all that was stolen from her, but she knew deep down what she desired was no longer in the realm of Fey. And so she found those born to the Fey that were as broken as her and gifted them with magic asking only one thing in return. Steal the memories of mortals and give them to her. No one knows what she does with these memories but there are rumours that deep in her realm is a hall of thousands of snowflakes forever growing and each snowflake holds a forgotten memory that will never be returned. And the day Siarannah’s violin is found and returned will be a day that changes the lives of both mortals and Fey forever.
