The Blade of Viltara

Originally granted to St Viltara by the sun-goddess Tymera herself for service in the War in Heaven (otherwise known as the 'Exodus', a thousand years before Guildfall), this blade burns a safe passage through blight or other corruptive influences. It also strikes blighted or otherwise corrupted creatures with the fury of the sun. However it burns the soul of the one who wields it, and cannot be safely carried for more than one day. Even Breac Sunfist, High Priest of Tymera, could carry it for only half a week before being forced to rest.
