This was the most powerful death magic spell known in Astnyr. Morana combined all diseases and poisons for one ultimate sickness. The Decaying of Bones caused the death of all who were afflicted with it. No one ever created a known cure until the second invasion of Magick Glades.
However, while there was no cure, thousands of victims decayed and melted right in front of their families and friends. This process was slower in certain victims, but still deadly. One such slow case was Howard Moonfury, Alexander's father.
The Most Important Component
"The one ingredient that will complete this potion is impossible to obtain. A strand of hair from the Lady of Death herself. She guards her hair so strictly, that only those proven worthy can use it" — Howard Moonfury

Howard Moonfury discovered a cure during his slavery in Necrom Hollows. The Wizard could combine ingredients for a potion that would end any death magic it touched. The ingredients were crushed anemone, garlic cloves, and a strand of Morana's hair. Morana's hair was impossible for Howard to retrieve. When he tried, there were deep consequences.
Even with his failure, Howard escaped Necrom Hollows with a baby, bringing his research with him. However, he died of the very spell he was trying to cure.
The Cure

The potion could finally be made. Morana may have succeeded in her latest invasion in Magick Glades, but Alexander won the day. He completed the impossible. He made the cure that would end the Lady of Death's death magic. A name had not been decided yet, but he used all that he could of his own supply to mitigate the damage the invasion brought. Alexander cured around 50 people with this potion, preventing uneeded deaths in the new refugee enclave. Morana's reign as the ultimate disease was coming to an end.
