Angels originate from the world of the afterlife. Both Angels and Demons had past lives, with souls worthy of becoming deities. For Angels in particular, they are filled with the power of the light. Their souls forever immortalized, living their second lives as Angels.

Angel Priests

Angels are sent to other worlds to repair damage from natural disasters, governments, and oppressive races. They are seen as a governing force in these worlds. The Father of all Angels sends each priest to their mission, giving them the power to create more Angels to help them govern these worlds.

Angel Biology

Angels are an anomaly for other humanoid races in many worlds. Instead of reproducing sexually, Angels reproduce aesexually. Magic is used to create Angels. Sometimes creators marry their creations, with no genes from the original Angels. One instance is Knowler with his creation, Beight.

As well as aesexual reproduction, creations are born as full grown adults. Angels do not have childhoods, sometimes taking souls that roam the land and transform them into a corporeal being. The creations help the first Angel to control or keep the peace in the world they are overseeing.
The Halos over their heads are conduits for their magic. They glow when magic is used and are a source for their animal forms as well. Angel animal forms can be any animal in the known universe. For example, Knowler has an owl form and Sonance has a badger form.

Most Notable Angels

The two most successful Angels in the Priests are Lunar and Knowler. They were brothers in their past lives and came together as Angels. Lunar is the older of the two, with Knowler always following where he goes. They were deployed to Notta together, changing this world of eternal night for the better.

However, Knowler became dissatisfied and wanted to go on his own mission. Lunar gave his brother his blessings as he traveled to a world far from Notta. The first Angel to ever step foot into Eldabrand landed in the region of Astnyr. He created Angels to help him build a civilization in the region. Astnyr became the land of magic and was peaceful for a time. Astnyr went through some hardships, but Knowler always guides his people to survive them.

Naming Traditions

Angel names are created from the ones that magically make the new god. Their names are usually referenced with what type of magic or power the new god possesses. Some Angels however, are not made with their powers, so the new god makes names for themselves.
